Validation API FAQ
What happened to the legacy API?
The original Validation API is in a grandfathered state. Clients that already had access to it will retain that access, and SpotHero has no immediate plans to retire it.
New integrations should use the current Validation API documented in this site. The guides and primary endpoint reference intentionally do not require you to know about the legacy API.
Which audience value should I use?
New clients should always use this audience value:
https://integrations.production.spothero.com/
For staging integrations, use:
https://integrations.staging.spothero.com/
The following legacy production and staging audience values are also accepted for existing integrations:
https://api-integrations.production.spothero.com/v1/
https://api.spothero.com/v2/
https://api-integrations.staging.spothero.com/v1/
https://api.staging.spothero.com/v2/
There is no current plan to phase out the older accepted audience values. If you are starting a new integration, use the current production audience value above.
For an existing integration, changing to the current audience value should be a simple update to the audience in your token request. Request a new token after you make the change, and keep using the API base URL for the same environment. We encourage you to make this update at your convenience. There is no immediate deadline.
